Fort Valley, GA – With only one more regular-season match left, the Eagles extended their season record to an impressive 24-1 with a 3-1 win at DII school, Fort Valley State (25-23, 20-25, 21-25, 25-20).
RU's Gabriel Gutierrez played a great offensive game as he was able to slam down a total of 19 kills (.333). Victor Pacheco was next with 10 kills and was also able to secure 3 service aces. Bruno Dewes and Ricardo Mujica ran the winning offense, as Dewes totaled 26 assists and Mujica added 16.
Another player to note was Christian De Leon, who added 8 kills and also led in blocks with 5. Finally, Libero Alex Sanchez, controlled the defense and recorded 13 total digs.
Up next, the Eagles will be playing in their last regular-season game at home on Tuesday, April 9th, at 6pm. This match will also serve at Senior Night as they will honor the 2024 RU Men's Volleyball Seniors as they play in their last home match as a Reinhardt Eagle.
