RUMVB Punches Back with SWEEP over Webber International
Waleska, GA – After Webber gave RU them their one and only loss of the season, the Eagles punched back and answered with the 3-0 sweep to move to #1 in the AAC. (3-0; 25-19, 25-16, 25-19)
The Eagles now sit with an overall record of 18-1 and are 8-1 in conference play. The Eagles and Warriors are now tied for #1 in the AAC.
Reinhardt played a competitive and steady game, staying locked in and showed composure throughout the entirety of the match. The Eagles posted a .236 to the Warriors' .036. In fact, RU out-played and out-statted Webber in every statistical category including kills, assists, aces, blocks, and digs.
Rayner Sarmiento (.357) and Rodolfo Biegelmeyer led offensively with 8 kills a piece, while Gabriel Gutierrez added 5. Bruno Dewes and Ricardo Mujica ran super effienct offense, as Dewes led with 17 assists and Mujica recorded 11. Defensivley, Alex Sanchez led in digs once again with 11 and Jakub Aniolczyk played a great blocking game with 7 total blocks.
Up next, the Eagles will be hosting a tri-match on the following day, Saturday, March 23rd. RU will first be playing AAC opponents, Warner at 11am and then will be matching-up against Campbellsville at 4pm.
