RU MVB Goes 2-0 in Home SWEEPS over Talladega and Edward Waters!

Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt men's volleyball team hosted Talledega College and Edward Waters on Saturday afternoon and earned two sweeps! The Eagles first matched up versus Talledega earlier in the morning to get the 3-0 sweep with the final scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-19. Then the momentum for RU carried into the second match as they earned another sweep over Edward Waters (3-0; 25-20, 25-16, 27-25).  

RU's Bruno Dewes, who always stands out as a leader on the team, running a very efficient offense, earned his 2,000^th career assists as a Reinhardt Eagle.

The Eagles have now improved their record to an impressive 13-1 and 5-1 in conference play. Up next, RU will be playing another home game this upcoming Monday, March 4^th, against Mount Vernon Nazarene at 4pm.

 Outstanding Performers:

• Rodolfo Biegelmeyer led in kills with 16 (.444), while Rayner Sarmiento was next with 8 (.533).
• Bruno Dewes totaled 32 assists, including his 2000^th career assists an RU Eagle. 
• Defensively, Alex Sanchez totaled 19 digs.
• Dalton Fellows led in blocks with 3.
• Jake Pennypacker, Victor Pacheco, and Alex Sanchez each added a service ace.

•  This match was once again led by Rodolfo Biegelmeyer, who recorded 9 kills (.217).
• Gabriel Gutierrez recorded 8 kills, 9 digs, and a service ace.
• Bruno Dewes led a stellar offense with 19 assists, while Ethan Keung added 11. 
• Alex Sanchez did a nice job running the backrow, totaling 12 digs. 
• Rayner Sarmiento totaled 5 blocks while Rodolfo Biegelmeyer, Christian De Leon, and Dalton Fellows each added 4.
