RUMVB Tallies the SWEEP over TMU in AAC Match-Up
Cleveland, GA – The Reinhardt men's volleyball team traveled to Truett-McConnell to play the Bears in an AAC match-up. The Eagles ultimately earned the sweep over TMU (3-0; 25-19, 25-17, 25-12).
The Eagles maintained control throughout the entirety of the match, leading in all statistical categories. The Eagles hit an impressive .390 for 45 total kills in this 3-set match. Rodolfo Biegelmeyer and Rayner Sarmiento contributed greatly to these stats as Biegelmeyer recorded 13 kills (.320) and Sarmiento recorded 11 (.474).Reinhardt had 8 different players earning 1 or more kills for their team. It's easy to see that Bruno Dewes is a great leader on the court and continues to run a great offense, totaling 37 assists in the game. Dewes also added 2 service aces.
Defensively, Alex Sanchez the 2-time AAC Defensive POTW, controls the defense nicely as he recorded 17 total digs. Blocking wise, Jakub Aniolczyk, who has led in blocks the last few games, recorded 4 blocks.
The Eagles now sit with an AAC record of 4-1 and a 6-1 record overall. The Eagles will continue play with a big match-up against Life Univeristy at home on the following day, Wednesday, February 21st, at 6:30pm.
