Week 8: AAC Men's Volleyball Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Victor Pacheco of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Alex Sanchez of Reinhardt and Bruno Dewes of Reinhardt are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the eighth and final edition of the awards for the 2023 season.

AAC Attacker of the Week
Victor Pacheco - Reinhardt - Junior - Johns Creek, Ga.

• Hammered home 50 kills on the week.
• Averaged 3.57 kills per set on the week.
• Had 14 digs, 7 service aces, and 9 blocks.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Defender of the Week
Alex Sanchez - Reinhardt - Freshman - Palma de Mallorca, Spain

• Averaged 5.79 digs per set in helping Reinhardt go 4-0 on the week.
• Logged 28 digs in a 3-1 win over Carolina - setting the program's single-match record for digs.
• Also had 17 assists.
• This is his fifth weekly honor of the season.

AAC Setter of the Week
Bruno Dewes - Reinhardt - Sophomore - Caxias do Sul, Brazil

• Averaged 10.00 assists per game in helping Reinhardt to a 4-0 record on the week.
• Posted 140 assists on the week.
• Logged 38 assists in a 3-1 win over Carolina
• This is his second weekly honor of the season.
