Quote from the Coach:
"We ended our regular season this afternoon against a very good Mid-south opponent (Cumberland University). All the honor and glory go to God.
Also, joining Biegelmeyer in the kill department was Victor Pacheco who has strung together some really great games lately. Probably one of the highest jumpers on the team - once a set is put up by Bruno Dewes - you know that Pacheco is going to crush the ball down finding the weak spots on the opponent's side. Pacheco ended up with 14 kills with 5 errors and a .300 percentage.
Brunoe Dewes led the Eagles in assists as he usually does each game. In Saturday's game, Dewes had 37 assists and also he had 7 digs to help out the Eagles
Another super freshman, Alex Sanchez, led the Eagles in digs with 12, which is slightly off the record pace that he has been creating. On Friday evening, he beat his record of 23 which he set on Wednesday against Truett McConnell - by getting 28 digs. Sanchez has received AAC Defensive Player of the Week four times this season and could be five come Monday. He is one of the top (if not THE top) freshmen in the AAC this season.
The Eagles will be getting ready for the AAC Tournament, which is March 30th - April 1st this coming week. The Eagles should finish in the impressive spot of #2 in the standings giving them a first-round bye. We will have the tournament schedule links posted on our Instagram page as well as the website once everything is announced and we see who the Eagles will play.
