Eagles Fall to NG Crusaders 3-0
Tigerville, NC – The Reinhardt Eagles Men's Volleyball team traveled to play NCAA DII opponents, North Greenville University on Monday Night. While North Greenville ultimately swept the Eagles 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-17), this was a great chance for Reinhardt to step out of their conference-play and matchup against high-level teams as they only have a handful of regular season games left before the conference tournament. Rodolfo Biegelmeyer led in kills for the Eagles, while Chase Cross had 8. Bruno Dewes earned 26 assists also led in digs with 7. The Eagles are now 5-3 in the AAC and 15-3 overall.
Thoughts from Coach B:
"Even in a loss, I want to give all the Honor and Glory to God! I'm so thankful for the successes that have come this season and the failures! Tonight we played an opponent that simply was better than us and outplayed us. There is a reason they are #1 in their NCAA II conference! I was happy with how we came out in set 1 and had our opportunities to take that set! To their credit, they adjusted and took the momentum and the match from that point forward. We did respond well in the beginning of set 3 and played with great energy and hopped out 8-5 but again they applied pressure and we didn't respond with good emotional energy.
I love that we have the non-conference matches we have to help us play elite competition and to have the opportunity to grow!"
