Waleska, GA – The Reinhardt Eagles Men's Volleyball earned it's 12th win int last 13 matches with a 3-1 victory on-the-road over the Knights of St. Andrews (3-1; 25-15, 14-25, 25-20, 25-18).. This is the second match-up between the Eagles and Knights, where Reinhardt took the match in a 3-0 sweep. Reinhardt started off the 1st set with an ace to score their first point and the momentum carried for the Eagles as they made a 11-4 run over SAU. Reinhardt won the first set 25-15 and then the 2nd set flipped, as the Eagles went down 25-14 to tie 1-1 in sets. The Eagles slowly gained their momentum back through the 3rd set that carried them to clench this AAC win 3-1. Rodolfo Biegelmeyer and Victor Pacheco led the Reinhardt offense with 15 kills a piece. Bruno Dewes ran a smooth offense, totaling 39 assists. Defensively, Alex Sanchez had 16 digs and Troy Sly added 5 blocks.
Thoughts from Coach B:
"Today we went 1-0 but whether its in victory or a loss, all the Honor and Glory goes to God! I want to give a shoutout to Coach Ben and SAU as I really respect how he runs his program. He has a good culture and his guys play together and are never out of the fight! We had control of the match after set 1 and they just absolutely took set 2 and the momentum from us. Coming back late in set 3 was big for us and a key to us being able to get a big conference win."
