WALESKA, Ga. – After a long weekend of volleyball inside the Brown Athletic Center, the court was busy again on Tuesday evening as the Eagles earned another victory – 25-19, 25-14, 25-13 – over the Bears of Truett McConnell (Ga.).
The hometown club was successful up and down its bench on this night, as it was a collective effort from key role players that helped Reinhardt to an 11-9 record overall and 9-6 within the Mid-South Conference.
"Great night to play some volleyball and do some different things," head coach CJ Shearer said. "Guys got opportunities they don't normally get, and it was great to see them rise. Excellent total team win tonight.
"Everything goes to God, and we look forward to St. Andrews and our Senior Night Thursday."
The hosts combined to hit .351 and were led offensively by Victor Pacheco and his 10 kills in 16 chances. Jaxon Andersson was next up with seven scores and a .333, while Ian Robinson also connected on a .333 clip with four kills.
The man in the middle was Dalton Fellows (.857) after his six scores in seven chances and two solo blocks along with a pair of assisted rejections.
Jake Pennypacker ran the offensive show on the night and came away with 30 assists and four digs.
As a team, the Eagles had seven service aces.
The final home contest of the year is on Thursday against St. Andrews (N.C.).
Opening whistle is slated for 4 p.m.
