Records Broken in Second Week of the Outdoor Track Season

Kennesaw, GA - Reinhardt Track and Field was back in action this past weekend at the Annual Don McGarey Invitational hosted by Kennesaw State University.  This was the second week of the outdoor season and several Eagle athletes broke personal and school records.

A complete list of the records achieved is listed below, but a few notable standouts are Marquia White who broke the school records in three events -  the Hammer Throw (37.18m), the Discus (38.76m), and Shot Put (10.29m).  Prior to White's throw in the Hammer Throw - teammate Sophie Smith had the new school record at 34.20m until just moments later White pushed her way past this for the new Reinhardt record. These two should keep pushing each other to keep advancing and breaking more records in the future.

Other notables include Tom Vincent who set the #4 best time in Reinhardt Track history in the 5K where he ran a 15.29, Kenadi Aker, who set the second fastest time in Reinhardt history in the women's 100m at 12.98 seconds, Wesley Price had a personal best and set the #5 height in Reinhardt history in the high jump at 1.83m, and Billy Waters set the #5 mark in Reinhardt history for the Hammer Throw at 42.40m.  The remainder of the records and meet highlights are listed below.
