Records Broken and National Qualifying Marks Set at Don McGarey Invitational
Kennesaw, GA - Reinhardt Track & Field participated in the 2023 Don McGarey Invitational on Friday and Saturday last week. Both the Women's and Men's Teams had great meets where several athletes hit personal and school records.
Highlights of the meet were set by Andrew Paolozzi and David Friedberg who both hit marks that were NAIA National Qualifiers. Paolozzi set his mark in the Shot Put with a throw of 15.61m, which was both a school record and a NAIA National Qualifier.
Friedberg, who was last year's NAIA National Champion in the Javelin, made his NAIA National Qualifying mark in his first meet of 2023. Friedberg hit 61.00m which put him in first place at the meet. Friedberg will get a chance to compete at the Florida Relays this Friday in Gainesville, FL to see how he stands with top NCAA talent.
Both Friedberg and Paolozzi have made their marks early this season which will give them plenty of time to concentrate on moving the mark up a little more before they head to Nationals in May.

The Eagles will be in Carrollton, GA this Saturday for the West Georgia Home Meet.
