Men's & Women's Track & Field Perform Well Despite Weather Conditions
Williamsburg, KY - The Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams competed this past weekend in uncomfortable weather conditions with the cold, wind, sleet, and snow. These conditions make it very difficult to do your best especially when it comes to track and field, however, many Eagles did very well and got personal and school records. Coach Turner had this to say about the athletes from this weekend, "Very impressed with everyone that competed this weekend. To come away with so many school and personal records, as well as quality AAC qualifying marks with the weather we had is tremendous. Wind, Snow, and Sleet are not your typical April track meet weather conditions but that didn't stop this group from performing at a high level. If we can get that type of effort from everyone on the team the next two weeks, we should be able to do some special things at the conference meet." Below are some of the top performers from the event. Both teams will be back in action this Friday and Saturday at the Kennesaw State Invitational and the Berry Field Day Invitational.
