Field Athlete of the Week: Jonathan Paolozzi

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Jonathan Paolozzi had a dominant performance last week in the CIU Invitational to earn Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Field Athlete of the Week recognition, the AAC office in North Carolina announced Monday evening.
The senior took first in the hammer throw (out of 23) and second in the discus (out of 50) in South Carolina as the Eagles visited Columbia International.
His hammer throw of 51.86m is a national "B" standard, which is currently No. 5 in the NAIA and tops in the AAC. In the discus, Paolozzi's toss of 42.72m is currently No. 2 in the conference.

AAC Field Athlete of the Week
Jonathan Paolozzi - Sr. - Jefferson, Ga.
- Won the hammer throw at the Rams Invitational with a distance of 51.86 meters.
- Second in the discus with a toss of 42.72 meters.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
Next up for Paolozzi and the track and field team is the Life Spring Meet on March 26.
