Track & Field Compete at Emory CrossPlex Showdown
Birmingham, AL - Eagles Track & Field competed at the Emory CrossPlex Showdown in Birmingham, AL over the weekend for their first meet in 2023. The Eagles had a good showing with the Men's Team placing in 6th and the Women's Team placing in 12th.
The event had many NCAA and NAIA teams participating so the level of competition was very good. Montevallo was the top team on the Men's side followed by Emory University, Mississippi College, and Berry College. Emory was the top team on the Women's side followed by Montevallo, Mississippi College, and Clayton State.
Here are some of the Standout Performance by the Eagles:
Coach Brennan was pleased with the first performance of 2023 and had this to say about the meet, "I thought this was a great first meet of the semester. We had a lot of Personal Records, Conference Standards, and a couple of Nationals Standards. This was a great meet to get everyone back into the groove for Track. We are excited to head back to Birmingham next Sunday, the 22nd."
The Eagles will be back at it this weekend for the KMS Invitational again in Birmingham, AL.
