Indoor Track & Field Open Season at Ben Martin Meet
Oak Ridge, TN - Reinhardt Track & Field got their 2022-23 season started off quickly attending the Ben Martin 1st Chance Meet on November 29th. The team took a smaller group to the meet because of the final exams taking place this final week of the 2022 Fall semester, however, they did have several that had a good showing.
Salvador Castillo was just .2 tenths of a second off the school indoor record with a time of 15:23.38 running in the 5K event. As the season goes on, Castillo could very well break the school record as he continues to be one of the best distance runners in Reinhardt Track & Field and Cross Country history.
Andrew Paolozzi placed first in both the Shot Put and Weight Throw with distances of 13.82m and 15.88m respectively. Billy Waters finished third in the Weight Throw with a distance of 14.39m.
Julian McRae and Brandon Boatwright had good days competing in the springing events. McRae finished in first place in Men's 60 Hurdles and Boatwright was in second with times of 9.16 seconds and 10.13 seconds.
