Eagles Indoor Track Competes at Samford Bulldog Open

Birmingham, AL - Reinhardt's Indoor Track and Field team has to travel far and wide to find competitions and they are on the road most weekends. This past weekend, they were in Birmingham competing in the Samford Bulldog Open in preparations for the AAC Championships happening this week. They had some outstanding performances and several school records were set.
Here are the records that were broken and some of the results from the event:
School Records Set
Tom Vincent – Mile – 4:27.68
Javen Wimberly – Shot Put – 9.35m
Men's 4x400m Team – (Tyler Hallum, Kerion Williams, Alex Jean, Cameron Yates) – 3:26.04
*broke oldest men's record for indoor Track & Field
200m – 22.47 – 29th of 87 athletes. 6th best time in AAC this year.
400m – 50.28 – 25th of 71 athletes. Best time in AAC this year.
Weight Throw – 8th of 39 athletes. First non-NCAA D1 in the competition.
Shot Put – 14.39m – 9th of 47 athletes. First non-NCAA D1 in the competition.
The AAC Indoor Track and Field Championships will be this Thursday and Friday in Winston-Salem, NC. They will also compete at JDL Invitational in North Carolina on Friday and Saturday.
