Eagles Tennis Still Making Strides Despite Loss at Young Harris
Young Harris, GA - Both Men's & Women's Tennis competed against NCAA DII opponent, Young Harris College, on Tuesday with some signs of success, however, came up a little short with both teams losing 3 to 4.
The Women's Team was led by Nina Thomet and Elyse Standing who were able to get wins in singles. In Doubles, Team 1 - Mia Hoeddinghaus & Pilar Becerra and Team 2 - Thomet & Julieta Boerr picked up wins for the Eagles
On the Men's side, Nikolai Hensbury and Federico Zeiter both won in singles. For doubles, Team 2 Pau Pujadas & Luciano Fisicaro and Team 3 - Hensburg & Zeiter both picked up wins.
Despite the loss, the Eagles show signs of improving overall and playing tougher competition like Young Harris will help out against AAC opponents.
The Men's Team is currently ranked #24 in the NAIA and for the first time this season, the Women's Team is starting to knock on the door of the Top 25 as they received votes last week.
The Eagles have a very busy schedule over the next several days with matches with Point University and Johnson University (TN).
