AAC Defensive Honors go to Tzevelekos

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – After surrendering just one goal in 189:38 of action against Point (Ga.) and St. Andrews (N.C.), Niko Tzevelekos of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the AAC league office revealed on Monday afternoon.
This is the sixth edition of the awards for the 2021 season.
The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 11.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Niko Tzevelekos - Senior - Cumming, Ga.
- Made 10 saves on the week as Reinhardt went 2-0.
- Allowed only one goal in a 2-1 overtime win over Point (Ga.) and made four saves in the victory.
- Recorded a half-dozen stops in a 2-0 triumph on the road against St. Andrews (N.C.).
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.

Tzevelekos and Reinhardt will try to keep the ball rolling tomorrow evening at Bryan (Tenn.) in a 7:30 p.m. matchup.
