Fast Start Earns Victory for Reserves
WALESKA, Ga. – Five goals in the first half proved to be enough as the Eagle Reserves defeated the Gwinnett Soccer Association (GSA) U16s by a final score of 6-1.
Freshman Andres Jorquera wasted no time finding the back of the net as he found himself with a hat trick inside the first 15 minutes of the match with the help of seniors Seth Stankich and Greg Morris – who each tallied assists on the three goals.
Both Stankich and Morris would also find goals of their own before the half was done after getting assists from Jorquera and sophomore Drew Griswold, making the score 5-0 at the break.
Jorquera was then able to find the sixth Reinhardt goal in the 65th minute, but GSA would find itself a goal a couple minutes later for a final score of 6-1.
Freshman goalkeeper Carlos Guerrero played the full 90 minutes in his first start as an Eagle.
The North Atlanta Soccer Association is up next on Thursday evening.
