Men’s Soccer Reserves Blank NASA, 6-0
WALESKA, Ga. – The reserve Eagles improved to 3-0 on Thursday night as they defeated the North Atlanta Soccer Association (NASA) U-17s by a score of 6-0.
Freshman Andres Jorquera started the scoring with a great header off a corner kick from Gerson Montano, but the score would remain 1-0 going into halftime.
The Eagles would start the second half with a great strike from senior Seth Stankich, whose strike sailed into the top-left corner of the net. Stankich would tally another goal less than five minutes later as well.
Jorquera would then add two more goals before his night was done, giving him his third hat trick in as many matches. Montano would finish off the night with the Eagles' sixth goal of the afternoon as he streaked down the left side of the field and slotted it past the diving NASA goalkeeper.
Freshman goalkeeper Carlos Guerrero played the first half for the Eagles – tallying a handful of difficult stops.
Sophomore Patryk Weber then made his appearance in the second period and made several big saves as well.
It's back to Ken White Field at University Stadium on Oct. 14 for a night matchup against the Georgia Impact.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
