Eagle Reserves: Season in Review
The Reinhardt Reserves finished off their 2019 season with a 3-3 draw against the Georgia Impact.
The result put the Eagles at 5-3-1 on the season.
After surrendering the first score, the Eagle reserves were able to net three unanswered goals to make the score 3-1. The Georgia Impact refused to give up, however, as two goals in the final three minutes of play were enough to see the match end in a 3-3 draw.
"I am very proud of the season this team was able to put together," head coach Zack Schultze said. "Our veteran players did a great job setting the standard and our new players did a great job lifting themselves to the standard required to play for our program.
"It's awesome to see how far our older players have come, not just as soccer players, but as young men. They conduct themselves with high-character and are great role models and leaders for new players entering the program. I am very excited for what the future holds for this group."
The reserve Eagles will now enjoy some time off as they look to finish the semester on a high note academically.
Reinhardt will return to action in Spring 2020.
