Marrietta, GA - After more than a week off of games, RU LAX was back on the field taking on Life U on Saturday! The Eagles would continue on the path that they had set early in the season by getting out early and building a big lead. The Eagles got the 22-13 WIN on the road at Life University which is just getting their men's lacrosse program going. This will be a rivalry game in the future as both teams continue growing their programs.
Brady Hanak led the way for the Eagles in scoring with 8 goals and he was followed by Cam Cochran who added 6 goals. JR Sess finished up by putting in 3 total for the nine-point win! Cochran led the Eagles in assists with 8 total followed by Hanak with 6 and Sess with 4.
Reinhardt scored 5 goals in the first quarter and 7 in the second quarter to go into the halftime break with a 12 to 3 lead. In the second half, they put up another 10 goals with 4 in the third and 6 in the fourth to get them to 22 total.
Defensively, the Eagles held down Life in the first half limiting them to just 3 total goals. Liam Wright got the start in goal and had 9 saves on 22 shots from the Running Eagles. Charlie Edwards and Wyatt Maddox both had 3 caused turnovers to help the Eagles defensively.
In faceoffs, Stefan Duckett had 10 ground balls total.
The Eagles will take on Lawrence Tech at Ken White on Monday (4 pm) before heading to Webber and Keiser on Thursday and Saturday. The Webber and Keiser series of games are very important for the Eagles as those are conference games and games against ranked opponents. Reinhart plays in the toughest conference for men's lacrosse in the NAIA which adds the importance of the regular season conference games.
