AAC Men's Lacrosse Awards Announced

WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the 2023 Men's Lacrosse All-AAC Team and Awards on Thursday.
Cameron Cochran of Reinhardt is the Player of the Year, Chase Jackson of Webber International is the Offensive Player of the Year, Christian Tomei of Keiser is the Defensive Player of the Year, Jeremiah Loo of Webber International is the Freshman of the Year, and Tyler Yelken of Reinhardt is the Coach of the Year.
The awards were voted on and selected by the women's lacrosse coaches of the AAC.
Cochran led the conference in assists (53) and points (100) and was tied for third in goals (47).
Jackson handled out 47 assists to go with his 43 goals and 90 points.
Tomei surrendered the fewest goals (71) in the AAC and owns the second-best goals-against average (6.48).
Loo tied the league lead for goals (54) and finished with 75 points and 21 assists.
Yelken guided Reinhardt to the regular-season title with an 8-0 conference mark.
Thirteen players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team with 13 making the second team. Dozens of players made the grade to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, while eight were named to the Champions of Character Team.
Jason Marx was named as Reinhardt's representative on the Champions of Character Team. Cochran, Ezequel Ceant, and Matt Potvin were named to the AAC 1st Team while Kollin Etheridge, JR Sess, and Liam Wright were named to the 2nd Team.
