Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at TWU Bojangles Invitational
Vonore, TN - Reinhardt Men's Gold traveled to Tennessee this past weekend to compete in the Bojangles Invitational hosted by AAC member Tennessee Wesleyan. The tournament was held at The Links at Kahite GCS, which is a par 72, 7,170 yard course. There were twelve teams in attendance, and all were NAIA members. Four of the twelve were AAC schools.
Reinhardt's six-member team had three golfers finish in the top half of the field. There were 74 individuals competing.
Zane May was the top Eagle in the tournament finishing in 4th place shooting even par over his three rounds. In round one, he was one over par. In the last two rounds, Zane shot even and one under par (215 total).
Tyler Frazee was second for the Eagles, placing 29th overall, shooting +15 over the three rounds. In his three rounds, he shot +9, +4, +2. Eli Howren was not far behind Frazee shooting +16 in his three rounds. His scores were +7 round one, +6 round, and +2 round.
Finishing out the Eagles squad was Alec Strickland (+21), Pride Dyer (+25), and MJ Hodge (+25).
Both Men's and Women's Golf will be competing at the AAC Fall Preview held at Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, GA on October 28 & 29. Barnsley Gardens has become a home spot for the AAC Tournaments the past few years.
