May, Willis, and Henson are Top Finishers at Canebrake
Hattiesburg, MS - Reinhardt Men's Golf was back in action this past Monday and Tuesday after starting the spring season at the Point University Invitational the previous week. The results were almost identical from week one to week two where the Eagles would finish in 7th position overall out of 14 teams competing. The two-day tournament was held at Canebrake Country Club hosted by William Carey University.
The Eagles shot 288, 290, and 296 as a team which came out to 874 total. Lindsey Wilson University was the overall winner. Truett McConnell and Point University were also in attendance at the tournament.
Zane May again was the top Eagle placing in 20th position overall and just two strokes ahead of teammate Chanc Willis. May shot +3 over par for the tournament with a three-round score of 71, 73, and 72 for a 216 total. Willis finished 26th overall and +5 over par. His three-round score was 73, 72, 73.
Placing in the 31st position and coming in third position for the Eagles team was Dalton Henson who shot a 219 three-round total and +6 over par. He had the best single round for the Eagles with a 69-shot finish in his second round. His other two rounds were 74 and 76.
Dylan Long and Luke Iverson were the other two Eagles competing in the Carey Collegiate Classic.
The Women's Team will be next up for Reinhardt Golf where they will be competing at the Brenau Invitational in Gainesville, GA next Monday and Tuesday.
