Eagles Finish Seventh at Spring Skyhawk Invitational
Newnan, GA - Reinhardt Men's Golf competed at the Point University Skyhawk Spring Invitational which took place at Newnan Country Club. Several schools from the Appalachian Athletic Conference were participating including Tennessee Wesleyan, Milligan, and Truett McConnell. Two top teams from Florida were there as well - Southeastern and Webber International.
The Eagles finished in seventh position overall with a total team score of 939. Southeastern was the winner with a score of 895.
The top finisher for Reinhardt was Zane May who placed #16 out of 56 total golfers. He finished with a three-round total of 231. His best round score was 75 strokes which he did in the first round and the third round. He was followed closely by teammates Chanc Willis and Dylan Long who both placed tied in the 21st position. They both had a final three-round total of 232. Willis' best round was a 75 as well which he did in the second and third rounds. Long had a low score of 74 - which was the lowest for the Eagles in this tournament.
Finishing out the squad for this tournament was Dalton Henson who was in 26th position with a final score of 235, and then Luke Iverson and MJ Hodge. Iverson had a final three-round score of 242 and Hodge was at 252.
Reinhardt will be in action next Monday and Tuesday at the William Carey Invitational in Hattiesburg, MS. The women's team will be back on the course on March 18th and 19th at the Brenau Invitational in Gainesville, GA.
