Henson and Willis Shine at Kinderlou Invitational
Valdosta, GA - Reinhardt Men's and Women's Golf competed at the annual Kinderlou Forest Invitational which was hosted by Dalton State University. This is usually the start of the golf spring season for the Eagles each year.
The Men's Team finished 5th overall with a total of 880. Dalton State won the men's side with a score of 849. On the women's side, the Eagles finished with a score of 1109 and this was won by Dalton State as well with a score of 902.
Dalton Henson was the top finisher for the Eagles placing tied for 7th position with a three-day total of 215. His low of the three rounds was a 70 which he shot in the first round. He shot a 73 and 73 in rounds two and three.
Chanc Willis was just behind Henson with a 216 total and 10th place overall. Willis had a low score of 69 in his third round and shot 76 and 71 in his first and second rounds.
Rounding out the men's side was Dylan Long with a 224 total, MJ Hodge at 229, and Pride Dyer at 231 for their three-day totals.
On the women's side, Caroline Goddard led the Eagles with a 268 total and her low was an 86 in round two. She shot 91 in both her first and third rounds. Just behind Goddard was Lizzie Hamilton with a 280 total and Debbie Blount who shot 280 in her three rounds.
Samantha Hillhouse and Alaina Harris were the final two Eagles with a 298 and 303 respectively in their three rounds.
Next up for the Men's Team will be the Point University Invitational in Newnan, GA. on March 4th and 5th, and the Women's Team will be at the Brenau University Invitational on March 18th and 19th in Gainesville, GA.
