Willis and Hamilton Lead the Way at Eagles Fall Invitational
Adairsville, GA - Reinhardt Golf hosted its first golf tournament of 2023 this past Monday and Tuesday at Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville, GA. The tournament brought in sixteen teams from around the southeast and over 100 total collegiate golfers. Both men and women played a three-round tournament over the two days.
Lizzie Hamilton was the top finisher on the women's side for the Eagles as she posted a 255 total placing her in 24th position overall. She shot an 88, 81, and 86 in her three rounds. She was followed closely by teammates Maggie Mullins who shot 266 total and Caroline Goddard who shot 273. Debbie Blount, Samantha Hillhouse, and Alaina Harris closed out the team for the Eagles in the tournament.
For the men's team, Chanc Willis led the way again for the Eagles finishing in 8th place overall and he shot 74, 80, and 76 in his three rounds putting him at 230 total. Dalton Henson, Pride Dyer, and Dylan Long were not far behind Willis, which helped the Eagles finish in 6th position in the standings. The team had a 940 score overall.
Henson Shot 231 total in the three rounds which were 78, 78, and 75, Dyer shot 80, 80, and 78 in his three rounds, and Long shot 78, 83, and 76 for a total of 237. Finishing out the team for the Eagles were Eli Howren, Luke Iverson, Zane May, and Dalton Turnbow.
This wraps up the fall season for the Eagles, but they will continue their training on the course as they prepare for the official NAIA spring season. That should all start back in January of 2024.
