Men's Golf Place 5th at AAC Fall Championship
Blythewood, SC - Reinhardt Men's Golf placed 5th out of 15 total teams at the AAC Fall Championships, which was held at The Windermere Club. The team shot 307, 296, and 303 over the two-day tournament to finish with a 906 total. This was just 3 strokes off of being in third place. Truett McConnell was the overall winner with an 865 total.
Chanc Willis led the way for the Eagles shooting a 219 total, which placed him in sixth position overall out of 86 total golfers. This is Willis' best performance of the 2023 fall season and should be a confidence booster as he heads into the spring season.
He shot 73, 76, and 69 over the three rounds for a 219 total. His low score of 69 was the third-best round out of all the participants. Two golfers shot 66 in the first round and those two were the first and second-place finishers.
Dalton Henson had an impressive performance as well shooting 73, 76, and 79 for a 228 total and placing him in 25th position.
Finishing out the team was Dylan Long just two strokes behind Henson at 230 and placing 31st overall. Freshmen Zane May and Pride Dyer were close behind shooting 234 and 237 respectively.
It was a good showing for the Eagles as they prepare for their Eagle Invitational Tournament that will take place on November 6-7. The team will be hosting the tournament taking place at Barnsley Gardens in Adairsville, GA.
The Women's Golf Team will be participating in the Women's AAC Fall Championship next Monday and Tuesday which will take place at the Windermere Club as well.
