VONORE, Tenn. – (Results) Hunter Clay and Christopher Whitney both took home all-tournament honors on Sunday at the Bojangles Intercollegiate, hosted by Tennessee Wesleyan, after the duo helped the Eagles to a third-place finish on the course.
The two-day event saw a pair of rounds on Saturday plus a final 18 holes on Sunday. Clay – who finished second (-4 – 69,69,74; 212) – was 2-over in the final go-round at the Links at Kahite Golf Course, but he was one of a handful of players under par for the event.
Whitney (sixth place) was the lone golfer to finish at even-par, but struggled a bit earlier today with a 77 after playing at a clip of 67 and 72, respectively.
Chanc Willis made a big move on the final day by jumping up the leaderboard by 10 slots after shooting a 73 for a T13. Not far behind him was Dalton Henson, who also made positive movement from a T18 to a T16.
All five players for the Eagles finished within the top 25 after Brooks Gineris carded a final-round 77 to come into the clubhouse in 24th position.
Reinhardt hopes to carry this momentum into the spring. Schedule of events will be announced at a later date.
