Eagles Finish in Third at AAC Preview

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – (Results) Men's golf continued to swing the clubs well on Tuesday, as Reinhardt visited the Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville, Ga., for the NAIA-AAC Men's Championship against a stacked field.
Hunter Clay earned all-tournament honors with a fifth-place finish after a three-round total of 216 (E; 73, 71, 72), helping the hometown team to a third overall placement out of 15 teams – plus-28; 892 – the second-highest finisher within the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
Dalton State (Ga.) was in second (+2) behind winner Point (Ga.) (-12).
Individually, Christopher Whitney was next in line in a tie for 16th place at 8-over-par. The third Eagle finisher on the leaderboard was Jack Haller at T26, and the rest of the top five for Reinhardt was freshman Dalton Henson (30) – who soared up the charts in round three with a 72 – and Brooks Gineris in a tie for 36th.
The final event of the fall comes up on Oct. 24 as the squad heads into the TWU Invitational.
