Eagle Flag Football Earns Its First Wins In Program History
Campbellsville, KY - The Reinhardt Flag Football team traveled to Campbellsville University in Kentucky to play in 5 games versus Thomas, Warner, Campbellsville, Cottey (MO), and Webber International. The Eagles came out on top in 2 of the games which records the first wins in program history as Reinhardt's newest athletic teams. Up next for the Eagles will be a home match-up versus Campbellsville on Saturday March 25th, at 1:30pm.
Game One: Reinhardt 0, Thomas 39
Game Two: Reinhardt 6, Warner 52
- Ashlynn McKinley threw a pass to Dechea Branham for a 55-yard touchdown.
- Reinhardt had 12 completions and had 129 passing yards and 37 rushing yards.
Game Three: Reinhardt 12, Campbellsville 7
- Campbellsville was able to score in thier first drive of the game but Reinhardt quickly answered the next play with a touchdown in the first quarter. Kaliah Wimbush threw a pass to Nina Johnson for a 60-yard touchdown but failed on the extra point. At this point of the game, the Eagles were down 7-6.
- Then the Eagles were able to get another touchdown on the board in the 2nd quarter with another pass from Kaliah Wimbush to Dechea Branham for a 12-yard touchdown to gulp 12-7 to clench the Eagles' first win in program history.
- Reinhardt had 8 completions for 98 yards and rushed for 40 yards.
Game Four: Reinhardt 6, Cottey (MO) 0
- Reinhardt scored its first and deciding touchdown in the opening drive of the second quarter with a pass from Kaliah Wimbush to Nina Johnson for a 35-yard touchdown. Cottey wasn't able to get on the board.
- Kaliah Wimbush had 8 completions for 113 passing words.
- Adriana Brustmeyer had 9 tackles.
- Nina Johnson received 2 passes for 56 yards.
Game Five: Reinhardt 7, Webber 34
- Reinhardt scored its first and only touchdown in the opening drive of the 4th quarter with a pass from Kaliah Wimbush to Nina Johnson for a 14-yard touchdown.
- Kaliah Wimbush had 17 completions for 138 passing yards and rushed for 18 yards.
- Dechea Branham received 5 catches for 40 yards.
- Caroline Small had 5 tackles while Nina Johnson had 4.
