Reinhardt Flag Football Hosts its First Home Game in Inaugural Season
Waleska, GA - This Saturday, Reinhardt Eagles Flag Football Team led by Coach Toni Fuller will hold the first-ever women's flag football game on the campus of Reinhardt University.
A few weeks ago, the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta came to Reinhardt for an interview with Coach Fuller, Caroline Small, Victoria Salmon, and Adriana Brustmeyer. They did a great job on the interview process and the final product is awesome.
The game this weekend is against St. Thomas from Miami Gardens, Florida and they come in with some experience in the sport with several established teams in Florida. Being a new sport in Georgia, there are not many universities that have this sport, but that will change as time moves forward.
The Eagles have to travel a lot for their games and usually it is long distances like Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida. Several teams will come in for a multi-game day or even two days to get in as many games as they can at the neutral location.
The game on Saturday versus St. Thomas is just a single game and it begins at 11 am. It will be interesting to see how the team performs and the legacy they start as flag football comes to Reinhardt University.
