Mantooth Does it Again in the Twenty-Eighth Win of the Season!
Waleska, GA - Reinhardt Baseball picked up win number twenty-eight for the 2025 season in an 8-4 victory over the Eagles of Faulkner University. The Eagles completed the "home and home" sweep of Faulkner on Tuesday afternoon behind the arm of Logan Lynch and cast of others that held Faulkner to just four runs.
Lynch started the game for the Eagles and pitched the most innings (3) for Reinhardt. He struck out two and only allowed three total hits in his three innings. Lefty reliever Hunter Paulsen came in to pitch the fourth and fifth innings and got the win. Paulsen struck out two batters as well. This was his first win of the season.
Ryan Mahoney, Hayes Bryant, Brent Turley, and closer Brett Allen all came in to pitch for the Eagles. Each had their own contributions to the games and keeping the visiting Eagles at bay. Bryan, Turley, and Allen each had scoreless innings, which allowed the offense to do their jobs.

Offensively, the Eagles were led by Jacob Mantooth and Luca Boscarino. Mantooth homered for his seventh time this season in the ninth inning scoring two runs. He also doubled in the game going 2 for 3 at the plate. Boscarino also doubled in the game going 2 for with an RBI. Louis Dion doubled in the game as well while scoring a run. Barry Eiseman had two RBIs in the game going 1 for 3 at the plate.
Reinhardt picked up four runs in the first two innings of the game and jumped out to a 4-1 lead. They kept adding to it leading up to Mantooth's seventh inning two run homer.
The Eagles will now turn their focus to conference play for the weekend and they will be playing the top AAC series of the weekend facing the Royals of Johnson University. The two schools are locked up at the top of the conference standings right now so this weekend is an important one for Reinhardt. The team wants to win the regular season again leading up to the AAC Tournament and this will be a big step in that directly. Game one is scheduled for Friday at 5 pm and then they will have the Saturday doubleheader at 12 & 3 pm.
