New Albany, Ind. - The Eagles started their second day in Indiana the same way they ended day one - a game with tons of offense. Reinhardt won game one of the doubleheader 13-3 over Indiana Southeast. Game two of the doubleheader was a different story and the Eagles had the bus warming up early as they would get shutout 17-0 against the Grenadiers.
Game One of Doubleheader
Adrian Vargas and Barry Eiseman played pivotal roles, combining for five runs and six RBIs in the game. Vargas had many key moments including a double in the ninth and hitting 3 for 5 in the game.
Jacob Mantooth and Louis Dion were standout performers, each hitting a home run that significantly impacted the game's outcome. Mantooth's 2-run blast in the 6th inning built crucial momentum, while Dion's 3-run homer in the 8th inning sealed the win for Reinhardt. Dion accumulated an incredible six RBIs in the game, hitting 2 for 4. Mantooth extended his home run total to six on the season and Dion is sitting at four!
Starting pitcher Adam Christopher was a key player, earning his fifth win of the season. His performance on the mound helped secure the Eagles' dominance throughout the game. The team showcased a powerful batting lineup, with contributors like Vargas, Dion, Cedric Cullars, Ethan Day, Luca Boscarino, Robert Phelps, Nash Crowell, and Cade Chamlee each scoring runs to round off a high-scoring affair. Christopher struck out five batters.
Hunter Paulsen, Logan Lynch, and Ryan Mahoney finished up the game for Christopher, with each not allowing another run for the Grenadiers. Lynch recorded two strikeouts, and the three only gave up a combined four hits in their three innings.

Game Two of Doubleheader
Game two was all Indiana Southeastern. The Grenadiers held the hot offense of Reinhardt to just six hits total in this last game of the series. This was only the second time all season where the Eagles were held scoreless.
The two offenseive highlights for the Eagles were two doubles by Luca Boscarino and Robert Phelps. The pitching staff had some issues giving up the whopping seventeen runs. One bright spot for pitching was Hayes Bryant who pitched the final two innings and only gave up one hit and zero runs.
Reinhardt University looks to build on the success of the first two games and put game three behind them. Faulkner University is next with a single game on Tuesday in Waleska and then they will travel next weekend to Knoxville with a battle with the Royals of Johnson University.
