Grayson, KY - Reinhardt Baseball got their offense going again on the doubleheader day at KCU, sweeping the series with the Knights. Game one was a crushing win, 14-5, and game two ended up 6-2 Eagles in the final seven-inning contest.
GAME ONE
The Eagles threw out four pitchers against the Knights with Adam Christopher getting the start. Christopher pitched six complete innings striking out four batters. He did give up nine runs in his innings, but he held the Knights to just three runs allowing the offense to do their jobs. Hunter Paulsen, Brent Turley, and Ryan Mahoney each pitched an inning in relief of Christopher. Mahoney pitched the ninth inning and struck out one batter. Christopher picked up his fourth win of the season.

Robert Phelps had the best day at the plate for the Eagles going 3 for 5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Phelps alongside Cade Chamlee, Crowell, Vargas, Boscarino, Dorsey, and Juan Pablo Morales all had RBIs in the game to help the Eagles in teh blowout win.
The big inning came in the fifth inning where the Eagles put six runs on the board. Nash Crowell, Barry Eiseman, and Cannon Dorsey all had doubles in the game. Despite all the runs scored, the Eagles were not able to get one out of the park.
GAME TWO
Tate Dearing picked up his fifth win of the season pitching five of the seven inning game. He struckout four batters while allowing just four hits and two runs. The deadly combo of Logan Lynch and Brett Allen came in to finish things up for Dearing. Lynch and ALlen both pitched an inning each and neither allowed a run securing the win for the fifth ranked Eagles.

Nash Crowell led the Eagles with two RBIs going 1 for 4 at the plate and scoring two runs. Robert Phelps had two runs scored in the game along side Crowell, Barry Eiseman, Ethan Moore, and Luca Boscarino who each scored one run. Ryan Stephens had a doulbe in the game hitting 1 for 2 at the plate.
Next up for the Eagles is the midweek single versus Point University. The Eagles have an eight game win streak going with a record of 25-4 overall and 14-4 in the AAC. Reinhardt is currently tied in second place with Tennessee Wesleyan in the AAC standings. Johnson University Royals have a slight lead over the Eagles sitting in first place, however, the two will face two weekends from now in Knoxville. All eyes will be focused on this game as it will have implecations in both conference and the NAIA.
