Herbert Picks Up Seventh Win in 2-0 Defeat of KCU!
Grayson, KY - The Eagles could only produce two runs against the Knights of Kentucky Christian in the opening game of the weekend AAC series in Kentucky. That was okay because Reinhardt's ace pitcher was on the mound for game one of the series, and he was locked in. All-American Andrew Herbert pitched a seven-inning shutout to get his seventh win of the season and extend Reinhardt's win streak to six games. Their current record is 23-4 overall and 12-4 in the AAC!
Herbert struck out seven batters in the shutout and only allowed two hits by the Knights. Logan Lynch and Brett Allen relieved him in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively. Both did not allow a hit or run in their innings, with Lynch recording one strikeout and Allen with two. Allen picked up his seventh save of the season, keeping him in the top ten of the NAIA!

Offensiviely, the Eagles only got two runs, which is much under their game averatege, but it was all they needed. Barry Eiseman and Luca Boscarino scored the only two runs for the Eagles.
Ryan Stephens was 3 for 4 in the game to lead the Eagles.
The sereies will continue on Saturday in Kentucky with the two teams facing each other in a doubleheader starting at noon. The Eagles will be back in Waleska for a single on Tuesday versus Point University and then they will be back on the road for a weekend series against Indiana Southeast in New Albany, Indiana.
