Waleska, GA - Reinhardt Baseball keeps their winning ways, picking up two wins on Friday against the Bears of Truett McConnell. The Eagles won 11-1 in game one of the doubleheader, and they continued the run, scoring in game two, winning 10-0! The current win streak is at 9-0 and 2-0 in the AAC!
Game One:
Andrew Herbert got the start in game one versus Truett McConnell, and he put in five innings of work for the Eagles. He was able to strike out six Bears over his innings and scatter 5 hits. Herbert was relieved by Hunter Paulsen in the top of the sixth inning and then Ryan Mahoney in the seventh. The two relievers did not give up any runs in their innings to help the Eagles secure the seven-inning shortened game. Paulsen did not allow a hit in his inning, and Mahoney was able to strike out two batters in his inning.

Offensively, the Eagles brought out the big bats in gamoe one. Dryden Howse, Jacob Mantooth, and Luca Boscarino all homered in the game helping the Eagles get the first in of the series. Howse had four RBIs in the game going 2 for 4 at the plate. Also, notable was Nash Crowell who had a double going 2 for 4 with 3 runs scored and an RBI.
Game Two
In game two, the Eagles threw out Tate Dearing, Brent Turley, and freshman Tyler Waddell, and the results were very similar to game one pitching. The three held Truetting McConnell scoreless and they did not have any answers for the Eagles pitching staff. Dearing got the start and went five innings. He struck out two Bears and only gave up 5 hits in his innings. Turley and Waddell came in to get the final two innings of the scheduled seven inning game. Turley struck out one batter and only gave up one hit. Waddell only gave up two hits holding the Bears under control to end the game.

Offensively, the Eagles had Nash Crowell, Jacob Mantooth, and right fielder Barry Eiseman doing the most damage helping Reinhardt get the shutout win. Crowell was 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Mantooth continues to excel hitting 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Eiseman was 1 for for with two RBIs. Each had key hits that kept the leading expanding in the Eagles' favor.
