Brett Allen was magnificent pitching all nine innings - facing 42 batters and striking out 11. He threw an amazing 151 pitches in the game and had the energy to hold down one of the top teams in the NAIA in the top of the ninth.

Dylan Lewis continues his run this season as one of the top hitters in all of NAIA Baseball. Lewis hit a two-run homer (scoring Tucker Zdunich) in the fourth inning to tie the game at 2-2. Later in the game, shortstop Luis Mendoza hit another two-run homer (scoring Lewis). Lewis and Zdunich came up big by getting an RBI each to put the Eagles up 6 to 2 and they needed every one of those runs.
The Grizzlies made a comeback in the top of the ninth scoring a couple of runs, but Allen held his ground getting the final out and sending the Eagles to the winner's game on Wednesday.
Lewis and Mendoza led the Eagles at the plate both going 2 for 3. Lewis had 3 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Mendoza ended with 2 RBIs and a run scored.
The Eagles will face AAC foe - Tennessee Wesleyan with a chance to move to the NAIA Championship game! RU vs TN Wesleyan will played tomorrow around 9:35 pm EST
