Andrew Herbert is Ready to Go!

Columbia, SC - The Eagles moved one step closer to reaching their goal of being the number one team in the AAC for the regular season and an automatic spot in the NAIA Playoffs.  The story of the day was Reinhardt's number one pitcher - Andrrew Herbert - who is having his best season ever as an Eagle.  He is one of the top pitchers in the NAIA and has been tearing it up on the mound after returning in late February from a 2023 injury.

Herbert's numbers were amazing as the Eagle's starter.  He pitched the complete game (run-ruled shortened game) seven innings where he only allowed 2 hits the entire game.  He struck out 14 batters in the shutout win. The offense did their job of getting runs, but all they needed was one with Herbert on the mound.

Reinhardt (GA)Pitchers

Reinhardt won the game 15-0 moving them one game closer to the best season ever in the program's history. Technically, they need to just win one game tomorrow to secure the top spot in the AAC, but the team will be determined to pick up both games.

Offensive Highlights
• Richard Castro homered in the second inning.

• Marcerio Allen, Matty Maurer, Luis Mendoza, and Tucker Zdunich all had doubles in the game.

• Jarrett Burney stays hot going 4 for 5 with 2 RBIs and one run scored!

• Reinhardt scored multiple runs in 5 of the 7 innings giving them the 15 runs.  The second and fifth innings, they scored 3 runs each and in the top of the seventh - they were able to put five on the board.
