Miller & Zdunich Make Sure Eagles Get the Midweek Win
Waleska, GA - The Eagles got plenty of production from several players tonight, but it was the NAIA Player of the Week, Tucker Zdunich, who would make his mark early in this game and end it on a walk-off home run. Reinhardt hit the double-digit mark for the twenty-first time this season winning 14-4 against Freed-Hardeman on Tuesday.
Parker Miller would get the start in the game and he pitched great getting in 5 innings for the Eagles. He did not get any strikeouts, but he controlled the game and only allowed 4 hits and one run. He left the game with the lead 4 to 1 and should have picked up the win for his efforts, but it was not meant to be. The relief pitching came in and gave up a few runs in the sixth, but then settled down to finish out the strong. Blake Rogers and Will Casel came in during the seventh and eighth not allowing any runs and each only giving up a hit. Hal Stelljus got the only strikeout of the game.

The bats for Reinhardt have been hot for the majority of this season, but as of late - they have turned things up a notch. Tucker Zdunich has led this assault on opposing pitchers. He is coming off last week's five home runs in four games and tonight he added two more. He nearly had three as one would bounce off the top of the fence back onto the field giving Zdunich the rare triple. His final home run was the game-ending, two RBI homer that brought in Alex Coulter. Zdunich was 4 for 5 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He is proving why he was an NAIA Second Team All-American last season and why he was named Preseason All-American to start this season. His start to the season was slightly slow, but he has picked it up and he is getting it done. No doubt, he is one of the best in all of the NAIA.
Joining Zdunich in the home run department were Lance Dockery and Nash Crowell who both have had hot bats most of the season. Dockery & Crowell homered back-to-back in the sixth inning where the Eagles began to pour it on the visiting Lions. Doclery finished 2 for 4 in the game with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Crowell was 2 for 4 as well with one RBI and 2 runs scored.
Several other Eagles had good games at the plate as well including Jarrett Burney who was 2 for 5 and 3 RBIs and Zach Rabe who was 2 for 4 and one RBI.
