Tessa Corrales
Bio

Tessa Colden Corrales is the head coach for both the men’s and women’s volleyball programs here at Reinhardt University. In her first season as head coach of the men’s volleyball program, she led the team to an outstanding 29-2 record, their first NAIA appearance, a top 5 NAIA finish, and the program’s first-ever AAC Conference regular season and tournament championships. Her success extended to the women’s volleyball team, which finished with a 25-8 record, runner-up finishes in both the AAC regular season and tournament, as well as a spot in the first round of the National Championships for the first time since 2020. Tessa’s exceptional leadership earned her the prestigious NAIA Men’s Volleyball Head Coach of the Year award in the spring, followed by the honor of NAIA Women’s Volleyball Head Coach of the Year in the fall, both in 2024.

Tessa has been coaching for over 8 years, gaining experience across indoor club volleyball, beach volleyball, and now at the college level. She has been a part of the volleyball community for over 15 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion to the court.

Since joining Reinhardt as a coach in 2020, Tessa has made a lasting impact. Before becoming head coach, she was named Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year for the women’s team in both the 2022 and 2023 fall seasons. As a player, she was a key figure for Reinhardt’s women’s team from 2017-2019, where she served as team captain, led her team as an outside hitter to three conference championships, and earned First Team All-Conference honors all three years.

Tessa is deeply grateful for the influence of Coach Brian Goodhind, who coached her for 11 years and later became her mentor during their four years of coaching together. His wisdom and guidance have shaped her coaching career. His legacy continues to inspire her as she leads both Reinhardt volleyball programs into the future.
