Women's Cross Country Gets 2019 Underway

CANTON, Ga. - Women's cross country was able to get the new year underway with a one-on-one bout with Brenau (Ga.) over the weekend, where the Golden Tigers were able to slip past the Eagles by the slimmest of margins, 28-27, on Reinhardt's home course.
Freshman Caprice Konitshek was the initial finisher for the hometown squad with a time of 20:58 in the 5K race in Canton. Alexis Casey was up next with a 22:30, who was followed closely by Carly Harrison and Pam Lalo with times of 22:58 and 25:01.
Rounding out the top five was Ashlyn Tuttle with a 25:50.
The team has two weeks to get ready for the North Georgia Invitational on Sept. 14.
