KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eagle volleyball remained at the back-end of the national rankings after its trip to Iowa early in the month, as Reinhardt checked in at No. 25 in the 2019 NAIA Women's Volleyball Postseason Coaches' Top 25 Poll released by the NAIA on Thursday.
The hometown team (33-5) was unable to snag a win in pool play at the Tyson Events Center in the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship, presented by Marriott South Sioux City River Front, but came within an eyelash of upsetting then-No. 10 Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) in the opening bout.
The Eagles, who received 121 total points, would then go toe-to-toe with then-No. 7 Eastern Oregon before wrapping up the event against Madonna (Mich.) in five sets – who is the first team out of the poll and receiving votes.
