CLEVELAND, Ga. – The Eagles hit double-digit wins on Tuesday evening on the road after taking care of business against the Bears of Truett-McConnell (Ga.) in clean fashion, 3-0 (25-14,25-10,25-18).
Tessa Colden had five aces (10 total as a squad) and a team-best seven kills as Reinhardt improved to 10-2 overall with its fourth-straight win, upping the Eagles' conference mark to 4-0 as well.
"I thought we did a good job as a team focusing on the goal of going 1-0," head coach Brian Goodhind said. "Our focus now goes to going 1-0 on Saturday."
Errors by Truett-McConnell were a big storyline on its home floor on this night, as the Bears gathered 25 miscues, including nine in both sets one and two, helping Reinhardt explode to big advantages. Couple that with the Eagles' hitting improving in each of the opening stanzas (.257/.300), this one was over early.
