BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Reinhardt volleyball rebounded nicely from its first blemish of the year by taking both outings on day two of the Vette City Volleyball Classic over Campbellsville (Ky.) (3-1; 25-15,25-18,23-25,25-20) and Georgetown (Ky.) (3-1; 25-20,25-22,16-25,25-22) on Saturday.
"Today was a big day for the program," head coach Brian Goodhind said. "Something I shared with the team today was that we have established the culture we wanted within the program. They have worked so hard to establish themselves in the AAC, but that it was time to take the next step. It's time for them to start making noise outside the conference. The girls responded and picked up two huge wins today versus Campbellsville and Georgetown. We received so many great contributions up and down our roster; this weekend was a team effort and I'm very proud of our girls; Who are we? We are Eagles!!! To God go all the glory."
A strong hitting percentage (.480) combined with strong defense helped the Eagles get right back on their feet in the opening set with another 10-point victory, and that momentum carried them to a 2-0 advantage until the Tigers were able to sneak away with a back-and-forth decision in set three to cut the deficit to 2-1.
A 6-1 run in the middle of stanza four enabled Reinhardt to come from behind and take a three-point lead at 18-15 â€" one that would give the team just enough cushion to keep Campbellsville at arm's length the rest of the way.
Emily Charbonneau, who had a team-best 13 kills, ended the match on a set-up from Mar Vives.

On defense, Shelby Glawson shined at the net with a team-best four total blocks to help slow the Georgetown attack. Mar Vives also came up big with 28 digs, as Baxter and Colden registered double-doubles with 11 digs each as well.
