Women's Tennis Falls to No. 8 Brenau (Ga.)

CANTON, Ga. – Women's tennis continued its stretch of competition against ranked NAIA opponents on Friday evening as it hosted No. 8 Brenau (Ga.) in a hard-fought match that ultimately ended in a 6-1 decision for the Golden Tigers at BridgeMill Athletic Club.
The Eagles are now 4-2 overall and drop to 1-1 inside the Appalachian Athletic Conference after leaving it all on the court after falling behind, 2-1, in doubles play. The pair of Taylor Nelson and Sofia Guaglianone was able to take No. 3 doubles and earn a point with a 6-4 decision before moving to singles action.
Brenau was able to respond and never looked back en route to four positive outcomes during individuals that led to the final score. Guaglianone, however, did go 2-0 on the day with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles.
Additionally, Sydney Dattilo nearly scored a tally on the fourth line before falling, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2
