NAIA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week: Morgan McGhee
fBy Mike DeVader, Reinhardt Director of Athletic Communications & Media
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second time in school history, and the initial occasion on the defensive side, a Reinhardt Eagle – Morgan McGhee – was selected as an NAIA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
The Marietta, Ga., native is the first hometown team member to grab national recognition since Kelly Friere did so on the offensive side of the ball back on Feb. 28, 2017.
McGhee continues to do it all for No. 6 Reinhardt, as she helped the Eagles to a 2-0 stretch last week thanks to 16 ground balls, 12 draw controls and 6 caused turnovers. The junior also chipped in offensively with seven goals and four assists in victories over No. 7 Life (Ga.) and St. Andrews (N.C.).
