McHale Defends Her Way to Conference Award

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Syd McHale of Reinhardt is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, the AAC office announced on Monday.

This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2020 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 16.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Syd McHale - Fr. - Suwanee, Ga.

  • Had eight ground balls and five caused turnovers on the week as the Eagles went 2-0.
  • Recorded six ground balls and a goal off an interception in a 16-5 win over No. 10 Tennessee Wesleyan.
  • This is her first weekly honor this season.
