Women's Golf Gets More Swings in at AAC Preview

CHATEAU ELAN, Ga. – (Results) The women's golf team finished in the top 10 at the AAC Preview, hosted by Truett-McConnell (Ga.), as the Eagles moved up the leaderboard on the final day to end in ninth-place overall.
Lauren Welte capped off her event with a 79 – four shots better than day one – to earn a tie for 10th-place. Katie Kauffman and Brooke Newsome both each played better in round two to get inside the top 39 players.
Newsome's 81 on the second day was a 15-shot improvement.
Meg McCord was next in line while India Pilgram did not finish.
The final tournament of the fall comes up later this weekend with the Berry Invitational in Rome, Ga., on Oct. 21-22.
